Education as basic Human Right

Education is a fundamental right of every person and essential for the exercise of all other human rights. It promotes individual freedom and empowerment and bring significant benefits for development. Yet millions of children and adults remain deprived of educational opportunities, many as a result of poverty.

There are many institutions who work for promotion and development of education as right of everyone so that everyone should have access to a quality education without discrimination or exclusion.

Education is a powerful tool that adults and economically and socially marginalized children can get out of poverty and participate fully as citizens. Its only knowledge that can make difference and can lift one's life standard. Its only education that brings knowledge about one's basic rights. Because to access to basic human rights one has to have knowledge about it.
